Osmos has great gameplay, easy controls, and lots of in-the-moment strategy decisions to make. But all of this works because of incredible look-and-feel. Yeah, it’s abstract. It’s slow, and dark, and peaceful, and if that bothers you, don’t bother reading anything else I post. This game is about patience, mindfulness, and the really cool way your circly blob can suck up the one next to it, and the next, and the next, until you’ve absorbed them all, bwah ha ha.
I paid for this app because I thought it would be like a web based flash game I used to love. It wasn’t, but turned out to be excellent anyway.
